Today, the municipal inspection seized a certain amount of coffee for the machine in the shop of technical equipment and electrical appliances "Smart shop", i.e. "Viva Net" in North Mitrovica, with the explanation that the expiration date was not indicated on the packaging.
On the spot, we learn that the deadline exists on the original packaging, but that the inspectors did not accept that explanation.
During the inspection, the reporter Contact Plus, who happened to be on the spot, the inspectors tried to forbid filming, with the explanation that the area was "their workplace" at that moment.
The situation further worsened when the inspectors asked the police to detain the leader of the Serbian Democracy, Aleksandar Arsenijević, who was filming the seizure of coffee.
Arsenijević: "This is unheard of"
Arsenijević explained that he entered the store to buy headphones, but he found an inspection outside and started filming.
"I came to buy headphones. However, I saw them unloading some coffee and noticed the municipal inspectors. I started filming, to which they said that it was a provocation and that it was forbidden. They ordered the police to take me into custody. I moved ten meters away, but the police arrived in larger numbers and took me into custody, explaining that they 'have to take me into custody'. I told them that I had the right to film in a public space. They took me to the station, where I explained the situation, after which they let me go," said Arsenijević.
He added that during the recording, one of the inspectors, Fatir Berzati, told him: "It is not our fault that you did not pass the elections", to which Arsenijević replied that in North Mitrovica there were twice as many votes as the mayor Erden Atić.
"If they want from the political side, I have twice as much legitimacy to be where I am, and as a free citizen I have the right to film in the public area. There are already problems with that municipality, they also threatened KoSSeva journalists from the Municipality of North Mitrovica. The idea is now someone savage state and behavior Municipality of North Mitrovica. I didn't even have a whistle. This is unheard of," Arsenijević told the media.
The inspection continued the control of bars and restaurants
Inspection supervision of catering facilities and bars in North Mitrovica continued today.
The sanitary inspection temporarily suspended the operation of the warehouse in the "Hill Top" restaurant, where workers brought out bags full of food - dairy and meat products, as well as vegetables.
The inspection also visited the "North City - No1" restaurant, where, according to the owner, no major irregularities were found.
On Monday, March 17, the Sanitary Inspection, with the assistance of the Kosovo Police, conducted an inspection of several catering establishments, including the kitchen of the Clinical Hospital Center.
Then the restaurant "Three Hats" was closed, with the request that the owner renovate the kitchen according to the prescribed standards, regulate the documentation and start paying taxes.
Contact Plus failed to get official information from the Municipality of North Mitrovica regarding these actions.
