"Selfie from Bergen", Sunčice Denić, narrates the fate of Serbs in Kosovo through a parallel between the refugee settlement in Ugljar and the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
Through the lives of brave characters such as the Slovenian woman, who fights for her community, and the nun Makaria, a symbol of spiritual strength, the novel highlights the perseverance and resistance of the Serbian people in the face of tragedy.
The book brings a story of suffering, but also of love for roots and hope despite all challenges.
Along with the author, literary critic Mileta Aćimović Ivkov will also speak at the promotion.
